"Tree of Gratitude" Planting in Memory and Honor of Marissa Rubin on Earth Day!

Saturday, April 22 at 12pm noon

Palisades Park, Santa Monica

A ‘Tree of Gratitude’ will be publicly planted in memory and honor of tree lover and gratitude promoter Marissa Rubin on Earth Day, Saturday, April 22 starting at 12pm noon in the Santa Monica Palisades Park just north of the Pier at Ocean Ave. and Colorado Ave.

The free-to-the-public special event will also include a group tree hug around the Children’s Tree of Life at the same location as that tree which Marissa (and her husband Jerry) planted on Earth Day 1983 is rededicated as “a living monument to world peace” proclaimed officially as such by late Santa Monica Mayor Ken Edwards.

Marissa passed recently from the devastating effects of stage 4 pancreatic cancer.
