Second Saturday of Every Month

Free Monthly Gatherings for LGBTQIA+ folks and allies on the second Saturday of every month. The first one is March 9 from 6 to 8pm and takes place in the cottage at 237 Hill Street, Santa Monica. In March we are celebrating Women's History with a bit of music (by Mia Yamamoto and others), a potluck, and a couple of speakers, including:

 

  1. A woman who saved Morris Kight's house from destruction is coming to talk about saving local lgbtq+ landmarks

  2. Meymuna Hussein-Cattan who created the Little Ethiopia restaurant "Taste From Afar" to fund her social justice work is also coming! She's an East African refugee who along with her mom assist immigrant families get established with housing & job training.
